Isle Of Aron
2016 grey gelding by Kayf Tara ex Maggie Aran (Generous)
A really consistent six year old, the penny dropped with Isle Of Aron in the spring, placing over hurdles and fences before shedding his maiden tag at Ayr in May.
A strong-travelling sort, he has been quietly progressive this year, but retains plenty of scope for improvement and I am confident there is further success to come both over hurdles and fences in the season ahead.
A son of the multiple champion sire Kayf Tara, he is bred to continue to progress with time and we decided to give him a break after his latest win, to protect his handicap mark for what promises to be an exciting season ahead. He looks sure to stay further in time and I think he can rate a good bit higher, especially over fences, in due course. He is enjoying a summer break, but will be back on the racecourse in the early autumn.

Jean Genie
2016 grey gelding by Turgeon ex Lady Koko (Kapgarde)
By Turgeon and out of a Kapgarde mare, Jean Genie possesses a very strong French National Hunt pedigree and remains a chaser of some potential for the season ahead.
Though he remains in search of a first win, he has placed on 10 of his 21 starts and is a really fun syndicate horse for his members, as he always gives his running.
Though he had been running very well on good ground in recent months, I think he is at his best on a softer surface, achieving a Racing Post Rating of 120 on his sole start on heavy ground over fences.
He is down to a very workable mark and looks sure to have another busy season, in which he can be highly competitive over hurdles and fences. Hopefully a win is around the corner for him when he returns to the racecourse in early October.
